Draymond Green won’t be taking part in the Warriors’ Friday preseason game against the Kings in Seattle, head coach Steve Kerr told reporters after practice on Wednesday.

Green is out with right knee soreness. The three-time champ didn't practice Tuesday or Wednesday.

“Just being careful,” Kerr said. “He still had a little inflammation this morning.”

Green’s MRI came back without issue and the club doesn’t have long-term concerns, but it’s far from ideal for the defensive linchpin to be hobbled at such an early juncture.

Last year, he missed a dozen games, a career high, with a littany of injuries. Stay tuned.
