In an interview with Adam Schein on Mad Dog Sports Radio, Derek Carr was asked to explain Khalil Mack's penchant for delivering game-changing plays in key moments.

The Raiders quarterback, who called Mack one of his best friends, talked about pool basketball to illustrate Mack's competitiveness, saying that the pair often compete in fierce battles at Carr's house.

“I think the thing that separates him … from other kind(s) of people, my competitiveness, I've always tried to make that the best attribute I have. I try and go at people, kind of the way Kobe did. I've always tried to be like that and he has that same gene in him.”

“He's out there just trying to rip people's heads off,” Carred added. “I think that that right there is the difference.”
