DeMarcus Cousins has been a busy dude as of late, commuting between the Santa Cruz Warriors for practice purposes and the end of the Warriors’ bench.

Over the weekend, Cousins made a slightly longer trip, flying from Milwaukee to Mobile, Alabama, after Friday night’s win, as ESPN’s Nick DePaula detailed.

Cousins was in his hometown on Saturday morning for this year’s rendition of “Santa Cuz” when he dishes out charity to school kids.

Santa Cuz has previously popped up in Sacramento, New Orleans and Mobile. This year, his sleigh was the Puma Jet.

The customized aircraft, the brainchild of Jay Z, the brand’s creative director, is loaned to NBA endorsers like Cousins for brand events, photo shoots and even personal trips.

The 100 students, selected for strong classwork and good behavior from five local elementary schools, met Cousins at the airport where he handed out Puma duffle bags of clothes and backpacks for all the kids.

"I didn't have the best Christmases, but my mom and family did what they could," Cousins said. "I'm just spreading the joy, spreading the love and helping out in any way possible."

Then it was off to Target in bus, where each student got a $200 gift card.

"I was in their position at one point," Cousins said. "I'm just doing my part to put a smile on their face and make the holidays a little better for their families."
