Four-time all-star DeMarcus Cousins is about to take another big step in his long road back from a torn Achilles.

He’s headed to Santa Cruz.

When he joins up with the G League Warriors (where he could "possibly" see game action), he’ll also be teaming up with his younger brother, Jaleel. As of Friday morning, the younger Cousins had appeared in eight game, averaging 6.4 minutes per contest.

The news comes a day after Steve Kerr prasied the big dude's progress, in his weekly call with Damon Bruce.

“I’ve noticed on this trip, I think, his conditioning level has gotten much better,” Kerr said. “He still has some barriers to get through, (but) he just looks like he’s more energized, getting closer and really doing a good job with whatever (he’s doing).”

Kevin Durant has also noticed Cousins' rise, as he discussed after shootaround on Friday.
