Damon Bruce isn’t taking sides in the KD vs. Draymond dispute. But he certainly identifies with one player more than the other.

“I’ve said this before, I’m going to say it again: I wish Kevin Durant had my self-confidence.”

“I have what can only be described as an irrational amount of self-confidence. It’s completely irrational.”

“I’m not rich. I’m not famous. I’m not handsome. I’m not smart. I’m not in good shape. I’ve already had a stroke.”

“There’s a whole bunch of reasons for me to be self doubting. I’VE NEVER FELT MORE POWERFUL IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. And I can’t even describe it. It makes no sense at all. It’s how I wake up every single day.”

“You either have this or you don’t.”

“My dad used to sit me down in high school all the time going, ‘Where does this ridiculous self-confidence come from? Why do you think that you know the right thing to do at all times when you DON’T?”

“And, like Draymond Green, sometimes it came back to bite me hard in the a--.”

“You know, I took my equivalent of many one-day suspensions from my dad in high school — without pay. But it never affected my confidence and I can’t explain it. You’re either wired this way or you’re not.”
