Brandon Payne, the personal trainer for Stephen Curry’s personal and the founder and owner of Accelerate Basketball, swung by “Mornings W/ Joe, Lo & Dibs” on Friday to discuss the latest surrounding the two-time MVP’s injured right ankle.

“(I’m) not very concerned in terms of it being a major injury or something that is going to prevent him from playing in the playoffs or anything like that,” Payne said on 95.7 The Game. “The only thing that is really concerning about it is just that it keeps happening.”

Payne told Lorenzo Neal, Dan Dibley and Chris Townsend, who was in for Joe Fortenbaugh, that Curry is uniquely qualified the latest storm. Curry has now injured the same ankle four times since the beginning of December.

“It’s all little small little tweaks. It’s nothing major,” Payne said. :The good thing about this is there’s nobody who’s more equipped to handle this and deal with this than Stephen is just because he’s been through it so many times.”

“There’s nobody more equipped to be able to articulate what’s going on in his ankle to the team doctors and trainers than he is. And he’s really good about understanding what he has to do to understand what he has to do to get it back and get it right to play.”
