Colin Cowherd, host of “The Herd” on Fox Sports Radio and FS1, is feeling awfully bullish about the 49ers’ prospects next season.

In the wake of the Jimmy G megadeal, Cowherd is talking Niners and the Super Bowl. As Cowherd noted, he had a similar feeling about the Eagles this time last year.

“I’ll just say this right now, San Francisco, in my opinion, is in the NFC championship next year,” Cowherd declared.

“You think I’m nuts.”

“Front seven. Great. Coach. Great. Quarterback. Fantastic. Durable running back. They have to upgrade at corner and one wide receiver spot. I’ll tell you right now, I called Philadelphia a year ago my dark horse Super Bowl team."

According to a recent report, the 49ers are already getting the most early money and tickets to win Super Bowl 53.

Cowherd then proceeded to draw out the parallels between the 49ers and the Eagles, who just secured Super Bowl 52, toppling the New England Patriots, 41-33, on Feb. 4

“My Super Bowl dark horse in the NFC this year — it’s not the Rams — it’s the 49ers,” Cowherd said. “They got a new coach just like Doug Pederson. Got a young quarterback just like Carson Wentz and have a great potential front seven.”
