Chicago Bears icon Brian Urlacher called into “Joe, Lo & Dibs” on Wednesday morning and detailed just how important Khalil Mack has been in the rise of his old team.

The 10-4 Bears visit the Bay on Sunday, paying a trip to Levi’s Stadium to meet up with the 49ers.

“It’s changed since he got there,” the Pro Football Hall of Famer said. “After we robbed him from Oakland…”

“We stole him. We got him for nothing from Oakland,” Urlacher added with a laugh. “For two first-round picks.”

Mack has 12.5 sacks in 12 games. The Raiders have 12 in 14.

“It’s just his whole demeanor,” Urlacher continued. He’s a very even keeled guy. Around the field, he’s a beast. He’s a game wrecker. He’ll wreck your game plan in two plays.

“He plays hard. A lot of these superstars, sometimes they don’t play hard the whole game. And Khalil’s not like that. He is full bore the whole game.”

“He’s double teamed every stinking play. I watch him play. It’s frustrating for me to watch (because) they never give him the chance. Even though he’s double teamed, he still makes sacks. He makes tackles for losses.”

“But I just think with the mentality they have, no one can stop them and he kind of heads that up. They’re great. And he has a lot to do with that.”
