Bob Myers, president of basketball ops/GM for the Warriors, joined “The Afternoon Delight” with Greg Papa and Bonta Hill on Thursday afternoon for a wide-ranging, and enlightening conversation.

Myers spoke at length on Kevin Durant, and the noise swirling around the back-to-back Finals MVP.

“Kevin Durant is probably under a bigger microscope than maybe any athlete we’ve ever seen.”

“I suppose there’s some other ones, but, how his year’s been covered, I can’t relate to what that feels like. I don’t know, maybe, if I was in his situation, I would get frustrated, at times, with the media, I suppose. I don’t know what I’d be like.”

Also addressed the new edition of old friend Andrew Bogut:

“I think we’re going to get the best version (of him),” Myers said. “Obviously, he’s a little older but he seems to be in a great mental place.”

Myers said that his players, unsolicited, were reaching out to the big man in an effort to recruit him back to Golden State. He added:

“I think we’re going to get one of the smartest players you’ll ever meet, defensively.”

Myers said it’s his hope that Bogut could be on the floor for the team by the end of next week.
