Bob Myers joined "Steinmetz & Guru" on Friday morning and revealed that the Warriors reached out to Andrew Bogut shortly after Damian Jones went down for the season with a torn pectoral muscle.

Myers' comments on Bogut begin at the 6:50 mark in the pod below:

“When Damian Jones went down, we thought ‘Who is available now?’ And Bogut was a guy who technically didn’t need to be traded, didn’t need to be bought out. We reached out kind of in a soft way and said ‘Listen, we need a guy.’ And this was before Cousins even came back."

"And Andrew, because he is loyal and partly because it was his team in Australia was saying ‘Look, I’m not going to leave now. I can’t do that to my teammates and my organization, but if you’re still interested when my season is over… let me know.’”
