The Battle of the Bay is about to get its own trophy.

On Tuesday afternoon, 95.7 The Game's Damon Bruce spoke with Brodie Brazil of NBC Sports Bay Area to learn about the backstory behind the new Bay Bridge trophy.

Brazil called the idea a “collaborative effort,” expalining that he worked with Caltrans to acquire the piece of steel. According to Brazil, A's president Dave Kaval is already on board with the idea.

“I don't know from the Giants side. I don't know their interest level,” Brazil said. “But Dave Kaval has already told me, that if they win it next year, he wants to keep it for that year.”
