Back-to-back Warriors champ David West announces retirement

Golden State big man spent 15 seasons in the NBA

After 15 years in the NBA, two-time Warriors champion center David West announced his retirement on Thursday morning via his Twitter account. He played his two seasons, which both resulted in titles, with Golden State. 

 

The big man made the announcement the day after he turned 38. In his career, West averaged 13.6 points and 6.4 rebounds and scored 14,034 points. He was drafted in 2003 by the New Orleans Hornets with the No. 18 pick in the NBA Draft.
