Before exchanging the NBL for the NBA, Andrew Bogut delivered a press conference with the Sydney Kings about his upcoming return to the Warriors.

I don’t think I would’ve gone back to play for pretty much anyone else,” Bogu said. “Golden state will always have a special place in my heart.”

Bogut, who won a ring with the Warriors in 2015, is set to join up with the Warriors for the conclusion of 2019 before heading back to Sydney.

“I appreciate the opportunity and if it's waving a towel for 20 games and being a good teammate I'm happy to do it…”

“For me, it's an absolute honor to go and sign there and not play a minute, anything more than that is a bonus.”

Kerr has already indicated that Bogut’s role is very much yet to be determined:

Kerr says Bogut gives the #Warriors an “insurance policy” in the front court but adds minutes are not guaranteed.

The big dude is looking forward to working alongside DeMarcus Cousins, the incumbent at center.

“I've got to rekindle my relationship with DeMarcus Cousins because we really went at it when he was at Sac — a lot of near scuffles and holds and flagrant fouls,” Bogut said. “So, I'm looking forward to being on the same team as him this time.”
